Parts of the GROWL library will be provided for use in specific applications which have been developed or optimised by the CCLRC, University of Cambridge or University of Lancaster e-Science Centres in collaboration with staff of supported projects. They may then be distributed freely and modified as part of the application.
GROWL will also be disseminated and provided as open source on a free-to-use basis as required by the JISC conditions.
We are currently investigating licenses which permit this type of use and are compatible with third party code recommended for use with GROWL.
Enquiries about accessing and using GROWL routines are welcomed. GROWL is a research project and currently not provided as a supported full library release. Co-developers in this ongoing project are also welcome especially if they can provide access to service to enhance the existing functionality.
